- Mr. Mukesh Butani is the Managing Partner at BMR Advisors and Managing Partner of BMR Legal, specializing in corporate international tax and transfer pricing, advising Fortune 500 multinationals and large Indian business houses.
- Mr Butani was previously the India Tax Leader for Andersen.
- He has experience in Advising on FDI policy, business re-organizations, cross-border tax structuring, and tax controversy across various sectors.
- He participated in tax reform task forces and committees, including the Kelkar task force and the Ministry of Finance committees on e-commerce taxation and international tax.
- He is the member of Tax bureau of OECD – BIAC, Permanent Scientific Committee of IFA, and Vice Chairman of Taxation Commission of ICC.
- He is also the Member of Focus Group on Administrative practices on tax disputes under TARC, founder member of ITRAF.
- He ranked as the top Tax Controversy Leader in India by International Tax Review from 2013 to 2016.
- He is a Commerce graduate from the University of Mumbai, Bachelor’s degree in Law, Chartered Accountant, and Advocate enrolled in 2010, practicing in various Tribunals, High Courts, and The Supreme Court of India.
