Student Experience in and out of classroom

We asked a handful of our students to reflect on their time at GRMI so far and to answer a few questions we put to them. We hope that this series of Q&A gives you a sense of who they are and what they think of the institute and the Risk management course that GRMI offers. We hope it also provides a window into their academic and extracurricular lives. They all share a common love for GRMI and a shared desire to make a difference in the world.

My experience at GRMI

Sagar Jha, PGDRM Jan’21-22

Why did you choose risk management as a career choice?

With the ever-growing demand for Risk Professionals in the market, a Risk management career seemed like the best fit for me. I feel proud and happy with my decision to enroll in the PGDRM course at the Global Risk Management Institute (GRMI), I can confidently say that the institute has prepared me well for a career in risk management.

How did you find the admissions process?

The admission process includes various rounds of interviews which for sure are rigorous but the results for me were satisfying.

What factors influenced your decision to enroll yourself in the Global Risk Management Institute?

Other than the spot-on and slightly hard curriculum, the faculty at GRMI was a major driving factor for my interest in this institute, all of them being industry experts who are always ready to help. The alumni network of the institute is vast and active and all of them are very helpful. Contacting them was easy for me and I got the guidance and help that I needed for the job interview process. Overall, my experience at GRMI has been spectacular and I hope it continues to be like that for me in the future.

How would you describe the GRMI campus?

Being on campus is one of my favorite things to do, before or after classes. Inside the campus, we have some amazing facilities for leisure, an entire floor devoted to games and other activities. It is a very relaxing place to hang out with my fellow classmates or just have table tennis or a foosball match.

What are the things one must keep in mind to perform well in an interview?

A candidate who wishes to perform well in the interviews, according to me should be confident and aware of the current happenings in the industry and around the world.

Where do you see yourself in the next five years?

My aspirations for my future include being a renowned business consultant and to achieve this goal there are some qualities that are very important, some of which include; taking ownership in certain situations, having good communication skills, and going by in life with integrity.
