STUDENT EXPERIENCE AT GRMI

We asked a handful of our students to reflect on their time at GRMI so far and to answer a few questions we put to them. We hope that this series of Q&A gives you a sense of who they are and what they think of the institute. We hope it also provides a window into their academic and extracurricular lives. My experience at GRMI

What’s it like to be a part of the GRMI community?
– – I feel proud to be a part of GRMI and also the alumni network.

How did the admissions process go for you?
– – The admission process was quite smooth with three rigorous rounds of interviews.

What is one fact concerning GRMI that everyone should be aware of?
– – GRMI is not a typical MBA college rather it’s a blend of both the corporate and a B-School.

Why should one pursue a career in risk management?
– – There’s a wide scope for a career in risk management in India. It is growing day by day as people are recognizing the need to identify the risks obstructing the business objectives and the ways to mitigate those risks.

A must-read for every risk management student.
– – Risk management is a holistic approach to the Business process hence a Risk professional aspirant must stay updated with all the current affairs and the Regulation.

What factors influenced your decision to enroll in this programme?
– – Surely the Pandemic and my stagnant growth in the past industry influenced me to take up this decision. This was one of the best job-oriented short-term courses that was on my list while I was going through my research for the next step in my career.

How would you define the GRMI faculty?
– – Faculties at GRMI are industry experts and are very dedicated to the course structure. They are very keen on helping each and every student with their risk management careers.

In five years, where would you like to see yourself?
– – To be at a managerial level in a top Consulting firm.

Do you consider the campus to be diverse?
– – Yes indeed the campus is full of diversity. Students across the country enroll in this course.

What is the best way to summarize the enrollment process?
– – The enrollment process consists of an initial screening of communication skills and then the strategical thinking ability of a candidate.

Is there an active and helpful alumni network?
– – Yes there is an active alumni network and their details are available on the website along with their LinkedIn profile so that the candidates can seek their guidance.

What types of extra-curricular activities do you do on campus?
– – There are various extra-curricular activities held on campus. Activities like cricket tournaments, Badminton, and other indoor games in addition to this various festivals are also celebrated at GRMI.

What drew your attention to the course and the institute?
– – It’s a unique curriculum that is delivered by the industry experts and also the duration of the course, this is like a one-year MBA program, not generic but a professional course in risk management, unlike any other B-School. According to my research, this is one of the best diploma courses after graduation.

Why did you decide to enroll in GRMI?
– – Because of the industry knowledge that it provides and I wanted to pursue a career in risk management in India. 100% placement assurance is an added advantage.
