For the last 9 years, as a Co-founder & Director at GRMI, Puneet has demonstrated exceptional leadership in setting up the institute from the ground up, encompassing fund-raising, investor relations, policy formulation, infrastructure development, faculty recruitment, partnerships, fostering significant employer partnerships and the establishment of digital and offline marketing and admissions teams driving student enrolment and brand visibility.
Puneet also founded Follow Your Sport | Funtasy 11 – A sports tech startup. During his tenure as a sports tech entrepreneur, Puneet demonstrated exceptional leadership in team building and management, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within a 30+ member team. He successfully raised 0.5 million USD in funding, managing investor relations with utmost efficiency. Puneet secured strategic partnerships, notably becoming an official partner with the Premier Badminton League, which significantly enhanced the startup’s visibility and credibility. He also attracted high-profile board members, including the former CEO of ESPN, CEO of Genpact – Enterprise Risk Consulting, and former cricketer Murali Karthik, who served as directors, brand ambassadors, and investors. Under his leadership, the startup achieved significant market presence and success before he exited in 2020.
