From Banking to Risk Management

I am Arijit Sarkar from Kolkata and I am currently pursuing Post Graduate Diploma in Risk Management (PGDRM) course at GRMI. Prior to joining GRMI, I was working as an Assistant Manager in a leading private bank in India. While I was working there, my Branch Head (BH) and Operations Head (OH) provided me the exposure to understand the different kinds of ‘risks’ that the bank faces in its everyday operations, risks such as credit risks, market risks, interest rate fluctuation risks, foreign exchange risks, and many others. This acted as a catalyst and instigated me to deeply understand what ‘Risks’ the different industries are exposed to.

This is when GRMI came into the picture.
