‘Risk’ is a holistic approach and it applies to businesses all across the globe. This is a highly fungible skill that proves that candidates can have wider job opportunities, have job security, and excellent career growth, especially during post-Covid. It is a headset that helps an individual in identifying what can possibly go wrong in an organization and what can one do about it. The comprehensive approach to Risk Management is ‘PREVENT’, ‘PREPARE’, ‘RESPOND‘ and ‘RECOVER’.
 
The reason why I chose the post-graduate diploma in risk management (PGDRM)course at GRMI was because of its robust curriculum and industry-wide highly experienced leaders delivering lectures and promoting all their learnings through a case study-based pedagogy. It is one of the best professional courses after graduation to choose from. It puts a candidate’s career in the top-notch game and ensures a swift entry into the corporate pipeline. A 2X growth after PGDRM escalates a candidate’s career to another level. The dynamic character of this particular field leads to numerous job opportunities and it improves career advancements.
 
It provides an intellectually stimulating environment that fine-tunes an individual’s problem-solving skills, and critical thinking skills and also ensures that a candidate has in-depth knowledge about all the processes that are followed inside a business. The emergence of various frauds in the corporate world would have triggered people to be more concerned about their investments or business decisions and this is exactly where a diploma in Risk Management can help, as it educates, and provides the skills and knowledge for the prevention and detection of the ‘Risk’ beforehand.
 
According to me, PGDRM is the best alternative that I found, for a one-year MBA program with specialized domain knowledge of Risk Management. The reason why I had chosen Risk Management and developed an innate desire within myself to learn about this particular course is that, when I was working with my previous start-up, I had to outsource consultants in order to provide business advisory services to my clients of the firm.
 
I was interested in learning about risks and controls across various business verticals and industries. I also had the interest to learn about the COSO framework, how risk assessment matrices are done, and how value stream mapping is used in an organization. All these factors club together to form an integral part of any business to thrive.
 
When it comes to why I had chosen GRMI to start off my career in Risk Management, I would say that the placement records are wonderful at GRMI and industry-wide opportunities that they hand it over to any of the interested candidates or rather say ‘BUDDING RISK MANAGERS’, are unparalleled, particularly in the post-Covid era. Considering the market scenario post-Covid, there has never been a better time to pursue Risk Management and to get in the game and also kick-start one’s corporate career than now.​
