About Mr. Seth

Mr. Ajay Seth is the Chief Financial Officer & Member Executive Board of Maruti Suzuki India Limited.​

He is a Chartered Accountant (CA) with over 39 years of experience largely in auto companies. He has earlier occupied senior management roles in Escorts, JCB & Eicher. He has been associated with MSIL as CFO for the last 17 years.​

He is responsible for overseeing Finance & Internal Audit. This includes areas of Budgeting & Financial Planning, Business Strategy, Corporate Finance, Investor Relations, Corporate Governance & Risk Management, Product Pricing, Taxation & Audit. He is a member of the Risk Management Committee of MSIL.​

The session

Mr. Ajay Seth, the Chief Financial Officer and Member of Executive Board of India’s largest carmaker – Maruti Suzuki India Limited – conducted a leadership session titled “Risk Management in Automobile Sector“.

The session focussed on the various facets of risk management in the automobile sector. Mr. Seth discussed the upcoming trends and changes in the sector like electric vehicles and how they will uplift the game of the automobile sector in India. Another highlight of the detailed presentation was the discussion on the key risks surrounding the automobile sector and the various measures to mitigate them.

The educative session culminated with a brief question-answer segment where the students got a chance to interact with the speaker, where he shared his experiences which proved to be quite insightful.
