Srijan Ghosh experience at GRMI. We asked a handful of our students to reflect on their time at GRMI so far and to answer a few questions we put them. We hope that this series of Q&A gives you a sense of who they are and what they think of the institute. We hope it also provides a window into their academic and extracurricular lives. What’s it like to be a part of the GRMI community?
– – I feel lucky to be a part of the GRMI community. GRMI gives immense opportunities to learn and grow, both professionally and personally. It’s the ultimate destination for kickstarting a professional career in risk management domain.

How did the admissions process go for you?
– – The admission process was pretty smooth. Through the process of getting in touch with the admission counselor to the final interview with the mentor, all my doubts were cleared and I gained more confidence and reasons for why I should really get into this risk management course by GRMI.

What is one fact concerning GRMI that everyone should be aware of?
– – The Post Graduate Diploma in Risk Management (PGDRM) at GRMI is an intense one-year risk management course, just like any other one year MBA programs. Most of the faculties here are working industry professionals. So, the classes may take some extra hours and even might take up your weekends. So the prospective students should be prepared for that.

Why should one pursue a career in risk management?
– – Risk management is the process of proactively identifying, analyzing, and mitigating risks in an organization.
Risk management processes allow organizations to predict emerging threats, and devise a strategy to avoid or minimize their repercussions. A career in Risk Management is in high demand now. Events like Covid-19 and the financial crisis have shown the importance of risk management. And I think it’s a really great opportunity for young minds and freshers to actually look into this career seriously because it holds numerous opportunities in the near future.

How would you define the GRMI faculty?
– – Faculties of GRMI have rich industry experience and are the best to train you to become a risk-intelligent professional.
Here, everyone is patient, caring and open to interaction with students at any point in time.

In five years, where would you like to see yourself?
– – I am still in the learning phase. But over the next few years, I would focus more on improving my skills, both on technological and leadership fronts, and 5 years down the line, I would like to see myself in a position to propagate great innovative ideas and lead my team towards such ideas.

Is there an active and helpful alumni network?
– – Yes. alumni from the big4 corporations and other industries make up a sizable part of the GRMI network. Anyone can connect with them through LinkedIn, mail, or even over call. They really go the extra mile to help the students any day.

What drew your attention to the course and the institute?
